The right to bear arms, my style

I wrote this article for my Journalism class. I liked it and so did my family. I hope y'all enjoy it!

The second amendment states, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." This amendment states that we have the right to keep and bear arms. Thank goodness! If we didn’t have that right, we wouldn’t be able to do many things!

For instance, if we couldn’t bear arms, I would never be writing this. Imagine what life would be like without arms. Life would be very hard. We would probably have to use our teeth for most things, unless, we could still have hands. Then our hands would be attached to us where our shoulders were. My, what a sight us humans would be. At least in America, that is.

Then again, it could apply another way. Could it be, ‘The right to bare arms?’ It might have been an innocent misspelling. If so, imagine all the trouble THAT could cause if this right was taken away. Say goodbye to tanning. Oh, and if it’s hot or cold outside, too bad.

Or……..it could mean ‘The right to bear arms’, such as owning bear’s arms. Why anyone would, I don’t know. But if that right was taken away, our freedom would slowly be slipping away. First that, then what?

But, then again, I guess it could mean 'The right to have and keep weapons.' Probably, but that's not very funny.
